Cheryl Neal MD
President
Cheryl is the President and founder of the MIKE Program. A retired Portland-area internist, she also trained in nephrology at Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Married to and a colleague of Michael Hartnett, the MIKE Program is a testament to her late husband.
Kathrine Gilstrap
Vice President

Kathrine is a Branch Manager of a multi-million dollar branch for Citifinancial. In her five years of training with Citifinancial and her study of Public Communication and Science with the College of Technology of Great Falls Montana she has developed strong analytical, mentoring, and communication skills. She enjoys public speaking and flying single engine airplanes. While being on the Fund Development committee with Mike Program Kathrine found a deep connection in the mission and vision of Mike Program and is looking forward to shared outreach into the community.

Karen Hobson JD LL.M
Secretary

Karen Hobson is an Associate at Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, a Portland law firm. She works with Bullivant's Tax Practice Group with a focus on corporate and business entity transactions, ESOPs, ERISA matters, and tax-exempt organizations. She also works with Bullivant's Sustainability Industry Group with an emphasis on green energy incentives. Karen earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and her LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law in 2008.

Graham Petersen CPA
Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Committe

Graham is an audit manager with Geffen Mesher & Company, P.C., a Portland based certified public accounting and business consulting firm. A native Oregonian, he received his B.A. in Accounting from Linfield College. As treasurer, he is involved with budgeting and financial oversight for MIKE Program.

Emily Boscacci
Chair of Education and Mentoring Committee

Emily is a Wellness Program Coordinator for Regence, a leading health insurer in the Northwest/Mountain State Region. As a Wellness Program Coordinator, Emily is committed to empowering Regence employees to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors, while also managing an onsite fitness center. Emily played collegiate basketball while receiving a BS in Social Science degree from Portland State University in 2007. She is currently working on a Master's in Public Health degree, also at PSU. Emily's passion for MIKE Program grew as she became involved with the Education and Mentoring Committee and spent a year mentoring youth at POIC in MIKE Program. Seeing first hand the positive impact MIKE Program was having on these adolescents provided all she needed to become further involved with MIKE Program.

Stacy Kaczor-Roach
Chair of the Fund Development Committee

Stacy is the Regional Operations Coordinator at dialysis provider DaVita, Inc., and is working towards a Bachelors degree in General Business Administration. She comes to MIKE Program with a personal background of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) as her late father was not only a dialysis patient but he was also the recipient of two kidney transplants. Stacy Chairs the Benefit Committee of MIKE Program, which plans and conducts “An Autumn Evening, Reach for the Stars! A Benefit Dinner and Auction for MIKE Program.”

Whitney Neal
Chair of the Community Relations Committee

Whitney is a Senior Branch Account Executive with CitiFinancial, and studying kinesiology and Spanish to become a bilingual physical therapist. She has volunteered with several non-profit organizations over the past 12 years, but has been a constant supporter of MIKE Program. Whitney started out as the Youth Liaison for MIKE Program in 2003; then moved to the Advisory Board while in North Carolina for 5 years. She returned as an active board member in October of 2007. With a strong belief in the benefits offered by MIKE Program she continually strives to promote the growth and vision of MIKE Program in memory of her Uncle Michael.

Joe Nunn

Joe is the Chair of the Education Committee of the African American Chamber of Commerce and a 32-year veteran teacher (retired) of the Portland Public School system. He also serves as Director of Project Clean Slate, a Portland program that helps people regain driver's license privileges, expunge minor criminal convictions and get back on track to gain or upgrade employment, housing and other opportunities. He instituted student shadow experiences with middle school students and health care students in training while he served at PPS. He has years of non-profit experience which he brings to his work at MIKE Program.
