Welcome New Mentors!
Submitted by megan on August 31, 2010 - 10:43amWe had our first mentor training last weekend for fall mentors, and are thrilled with the wonderful folks who have joined us as new mentors this season. Their experiences and interest vary from medicine to public health, optometry to counseling at-risk youth. We cannot thank them enough for their committment of time and energy to help teens in our community live healthier lifestyles.

The SKANNER News Group kicks off our new Community Resources page
Submitted by megan on August 16, 2010 - 12:44pmWe are in the process of developing a new Community Resources page to spread the word about businesses, organizations and foundations in the Portland area whose missions are in line with MIKE Program's focus on diverse youth health empowerment. Our first link is up (many more to come!), and we are pleased to connect others to The Skanner, a website and newspaper published in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington.

Become a Mentor!

We need many more mentors than last year so your application is welcome. There is some flexibility as to when our programs will be offered, so apply now and let your schedule influence when we enroll students.
